About

I am a registered counsellor and I am also a Speech/Language Therapist and Audiologist, that has worked in private practice for many years as well as at different schools, nursing homes, rehabilitation centres and hospitals, but my focus currently is on counselling. 

My experience as a Registered Counsellor has been working, and completing my internship at JPCCC, ( Johannesburg Parent and child counselling centre), and working at 2 different primary schools as a school counsellor, during my internship. I have also worked for the past 10 years at the “Family life centre”, counselling couples, individuals, doing play therapy and working with parents.

In addition I am a “Community Art Counsellor” and worked and studied for the course through “Lefika La Phodisa”, which is South Africa’s first psychoanalytically informed community art counselling training centre, which works within the community context.

I have been involved in working in their “open studio” groups and holiday groups for inner city children, at Lefika. I currently incorporate the medium of art when working with clients, as a mode of expression, as it is often difficult to articulate one’s feelings verbally. 

I am registered with the HCPSA (Health Professional Council of South Africa), therefore any payment can be claimed back from your medical aid.
